Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Swollen Left Jaw With Normal X-ray, CT And MRI?
I have had a swollen left jaw (feels like a lump when I push my jaw out) for over two months with NO pain. I have seen a lot of doctors had tests (xray/CT/MRI) but everything was normal. I went to the ENT today and all they said is it is probably a swollen jar muscle due to an infection (even though I was not sick when this started). I asked them if it would go away and all they said was it may or it may not. Feeling very frustrated. I just want to know what it is/ why/ how can I get it to go away. Should I just ignore it now and hope it will go away?
