What Causes Swollen Lymph Nodes In The Groin?

A couple of days ago I noticed that my lymph gland on my right groin is a little swollen and tender. Just that one gland. I have no fever and other than a little discomfort when I'm sitting it does not bother me. When looking at my groin you cannot see the swelling only when a little pressure is applied you can notice a little swelling. A couple of months ago I had done a CBC and my white blood count was in the normal range. Could an ovarian cyst that ruptured be the cause of the inflammation of the node? Also I am trying to conceive and my husband was taking tetracycline which I am allergic to, can that have an effect on the inflammation. I am a little worried I,ve never experienced this before. Aside from 3 thyroid nodules and a low iron level I am in good health. Should I get any testing done? Thank you for your time.

Hi ,dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. You have reactive hyperplasia of lymphnode mosg likely. It can be due to some infection. Youfoovarian cyst rupture, tetracycline sensitivity or thyroid nodule has no relation with that.
You should take a course of antibiotics. If it doesn't respond to treatment then biopsy diagnosis is advisable to rule out tuberculosis or lymphoma.
Consult your doctor and take treatment accordingly.
Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer.
Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
