Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have two swollen lymph nodes on my neck, one on my left and one on my right. They have been there for about 8 months. I have been told that the doctor thinks they might be reactive, but I am still worried because recently I have been experiencing symptoms including exhaustion.
I have studied your case and I think that these lymph nodes can be due to either some infection or it can be due to some other pathological process. It has to be investigated. it can be done by a very simple needle test in which needle aspiration is done and than send it for biopsy. If this report sows that there is no serious issue and it is due to some infection than you need to take antibiotic treatment for this. These antibiotics will also take care of the primary infection from which infection comes to lymphnode. I hope this answer will be useful for you. Let me know if there is any other followup questions. thanks
