What Causes Swollen Pointer Finger?

Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here...I woke up this morning with my pointer finger on my left hand doubled in size and the middle nuckle so painful. I was fine when I went to bed but i cant even bend the finger without shooting pain. What could it be?
