What Causes Symptoms Of Psychosis After Discontinuing Percocet, Ativan, Gabapentin, Amitriptyline Cold Turkey?
I was on Percocet, soma, Ativan, gabapentin, amitriptyline for pain mgt for 15 years and my doctor took me off cold turkey. I was delirious for three months, had several psychotic breaks, fugue states.Was this caused by going off my meds cold turkey?

It is possible that the sudden discontinuation of the medication can cause withdrawal to occur.
Opiates (perocet), benzodiazepines (Ativan) and some antidepressants can be associated with withdrawal symptoms.
In most cases, the medication is slowly tapered.
