What Causes Tender, Protruding Spot Under Left Shoulder Blade?

About two years ago I started feeling a tender spot under my left shoulder blade and with time has grown to the size of a dime and can see it protruding. When I lean back on it it hurts. Pain comes from the area and seems to put strain on my shoulders and neck. What should I do?

Hi
Welcome to healhcaremagic
After going through your query I concluded that probably you are having muscular pain with a trigger point (tender spot) as pain radiates from it in all directions. I treat my such patients by injection triamcilone weekly with a good results.Along with this analgesic such as ibuprofen are given for pain relief. Vitamin B and C are helpful in recovery. Rest is advised for few weeks. You can discuss with your Doctor about it. Hope your query get answered. If you have any clarification then please don't hesitate to write to us.
