What Causes Tenderness And Itching In Calf After Vein Stripping?

Years ago I had a vein stripped in my leg. It has been tender in my calf ever since. At times it itches but recently the itch is so deep I can hardly keep from clawing it till it bleeds. It itches on my shin as well and my shin bone even hurts. This doesn t seem like it will ever end.
