Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Tenderness In The Breasts After Tubal Ligation?
I am a 34 year old female who had a tubal ligation over 9 years ago during a C-section. I have not had a period since April, I have numerous pregnancy symptoms (including nusea, tenderness in my breasts, weight gain [unexplained, almost 20lbs in past 4 months on 1400 cal diet] loss of libido, frequent headaches, and certain cravings), but all HPT negative. Went to Dr today and he has ordered ultrasound and a gyno visit, but I m scared and nervous and what do you think it could be?
This cannot be pregnancy for sure because you had tubal ligation that is a definitive contraception method. You may be facing a hormone imbalance. You may need to take progesterone-like hormones and stop them. Then the period will come in 7 days after stopping it.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
