What Causes The Feeling Of Tingling In Entire Body?

My husband has tingling over different areas of his body. He has never experienced this until he started taking doxycycline, tamsulosen, suprofloxacin, metronidazole. Taken for symptoms of prostitas. He is no longer on any of these meds for at least two months but the tingling continues. He has had X-rays but no spine issues. Now the chiropractor wants to look into vitamin b issues. Any thoughts. My husband is 65 yrs. old

Hello,

Thanks for writing to us,

I have read your query and I would advise the following:

I will advise you to do EMG-NCV[Nerve conduction study].
MRI spine may help.
Change your diet and remove inflammatory foods such as citrus fruits, dairy products and wheat that may aggravate peripheral neuropathy. Simultaneously increase your intake of potassium and calcium-rich foods such as bananas and avocados and green leafy vegetable.

Vitamin B12 is important in the maintenance of health and normal functioning of the nerve tissue and deficiency of it can lead to numbness. You can increase B12 level by taking meat and fish, or you can take Inj methylcobalamine.

Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

Wishing you good health.

Take care.
