What Causes The Hemorrhoid To Be Swollen And Sore?

Hi I am 26 years old and yesterday I noticed that my hemroid from when I gave birth 6 years old was swellon (which it does every now and then and does really bother me) but this time I am really sore so I inspected the area and found that there is a hard knot the size of a pea inside the hemroid and is very sore....I m not sure what this is and as I am away from my home visiting family I m not close by my doctor and I have military insurance so I can t just go see a doctor here. Please any information would be great

Hi welcome to HCM....

According to your history here your hemorrhoided seems to be infected ....

So consult gastroenterologist for your proctoscopy examination...

If hemorrhoids there with signs of infection antibiotic course given....
Meanwhile stool softener also needs to be given....

Avoid straining at stool....

Plenty of water ....

Increase fiber in diet...

Excess scrubbing avoided while bathing ...

If inflammation is more steroid cream applied.....

If conservative treatment fail than surgical procedure like banding or injection sclerosent needed...

If still needed hemorrhoidectomy done ....
