My current meds are Cymbalta 60mg 1 every day,Tarka240/2 1 every day,levothroxine.50mcg every day, clonazepam IMF tid PRN and ambein 10 mg PRN for insomnia , Wellbutrin 150mg 1 every, linsopril 20 mg 1 every day.I also have depression. My last question is what kind of md do I need to go to. I have been to my primary care MD and he said something about a vein might be stopped up.I also am SOB and have some pain in my heart. I would be very grateful you could recommend the proper MD to go to. I thought of an endocrinologist . I have thought it might be a lymph gland. I have had polyps removed 3 times during a colonoscopy .I also have been diagonized with IBS. please help if you can.Lynda Runyon
Answer: Hi Thank you for asking healthcare Majic. I have gone through your query in details.
This thigh swelling which you have since 4 years as painless and now became painful since last 18 months along with lower abdomen / back pain.
the condition as you mention with reference your primary care MD, it looks like saphena varix which is dilatation of a vein (Blood vessel) in upper thigh. Such swelling need proper examination by General Surgery MD to exclude other conditions which exist in upper thigh regions like Hernias, enlarged lymph nodes ...
Once properly examined, you may undergo unltrasonography and some Labs for final diagnosis . as initial step in dealing this, just visit General Surgical MD .
your other health issues like Hypertension, fibro, insomnia, depression and SOB along with their ongoing treatment must be mentioned to the visiting MD in detail.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear. Thanks.
