Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am having thin stools (not pencil like thin, but thinner than normal). Stomach discomfort and slight pain. When I cough in the morning (morning only), there is slight blood in saliva. No blood in stools. Eating too much fruits or veggies (salads) makes the stools thinner (diarrhea like) and I can see pieces of veggies like corn / peas.
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted your history of thin stools, stomach discomfort, slight pain, blood in the sputum on coughing in the morning, eating too much fruits and veggies which make the stool thinner like diarrhea and can see pieces of veggies like corns and peas. All this indicates that there is something in you eat that is not tolerated by your intestines or the digestion is not proper may be due to Intestinal problems like inflammation of any sort or something like pancreatitis. I would advise you the following: Stool tests for 3 consecutive days. Ultrasonography. Tests of blood for pancreas, live, thyroid. Clinical evaluation and correlation with the reports. The diagnosis will give the plan for further treatment.
