What Causes Three Year Old To Breath Through Mouth?

My 3 year old is perfectly healthy. She very rarely gets a cold. However, she always breathes through her mouth rather than her nose. Sometimes she says she can t breathe when she closes her mouth, but most of the time, I believe she just finds it easier to breathe through her mouth. Is this normal? Should we worry?

Hi. Your 3 year old daughter is healthy.. And rarely gets cold..so it means your daughter's having good anatomy. And she is just having habit of MOUTH BREATHING. This is the age when children are more prone to get oral habits like nail bitting, thumb sucking, mouth breathing, etc..so no need to worry for her about mouth breathing..if you observe that your daughter didn't find any difficulties from nose breathing..than you should visit your dentist for HABIT BREAKER.. The appliance used for breaking the mouth breathing is known as ORAL SCREEN.this will help your daughter to break the habit of MOUTH BREATHING very easily and no need to worry.
