What Causes Throbbing Pain In Lower Left Side Of Stomach?

my son has throbbing type of pain in lower left side , a little south-east of the belly button. can something get lodged in the colon? he went to a 24 hour place and they told him something could be stuck that he's to drink liquids for 24 hours, nothing else..

I really appreciate your concern, the most common cause of abdomen pain here in this case could be colic and to rule out other possibilities it needed clinical examinations and investigation without this possibility of intestinal obstruction can not be ruled out till then Tab Dicyclomine can be tried, you have not mentioned the age here, hope this information helps.
