What Causes Throbbing Pain In Toes In An 8 Years Old?

I have an 8 year old daughter who is experiencing a throbbing pain in her toes while she sleeps. This doesnt seem to happen every night, but when it does shes in alot of pain. At first I just thought it was loss of circulation from sleeping in a funny position, but she tells me its a throbbing pain and not the pins and needles feeling when a limb falls asleep, And its always her toes she complains about. Sometimes its all her toes and other times it will be just the big toes. Any idea what this may be? Please help
