What Causes Throbbing Pain On Neck And Head After An Injury?

I strained something doing pull ups and now I get a throbbing headache on right side of neck and head whenever I exercise. I'm not 100% certain but it seems to be tied to a knot under my right shoulder blade, but the knot itself does not hurt. Does this make sense?

No it doesn't make sense. throbbing sensation is because either you are starting out exercise or you don't exercise regular. Your body is still unaccoustomed to hard physical labour like pull up. don't exert at once gradually build up your ups. If problem sever consult sports medicine specialist or orthopedics surgeon
