What Causes Tickles In Head?

Hi, I am 36 years ol mom of 3 kids trying to loose some belly weight. I started last Sunday to take 1 pill of Oxi pro Elite 30 min before breakfast, which I am just trying to eat a fruit ever 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Then a salad for lunch and salad for dinner. I love my coffeee in the mornings, but I gave that up on yesterday and I had headache all day long. I took 1/2 cup with cream for breakfast this morning, but I am felling some tickles in my head. Is that normal? should I stop taking it? I am supposed to take 2 pills after the third day, but now I am afraid. Thank you very much and have a wonderful day! Martha

Dear Martha,

Most certainly. Oxy Pro Elite has wrestled with the Food and Drug Administration for years. The company apparently doesn't care about safety as evidenced by their used of the dangerous ingredient DMAA which was held responsible for several liver failures and some heart failures as well. OxyPro apparently reformulated, but we again found DMAA hidden in the geranium ingredient. Now I understand that Oxy Pro Elite is out again reformulated, but with their record, in my professional opinion, I would not trust recommending that anyone take it. It is still banned on military bases.

I highly suggest you stick to lowered calories, a healthy diet, increased fiber, less than 10% of your calories as added sugar, and increase exercise to a minimum of 150 minutes per day.

Caffeine should be decreased gradually to avoid the headaches, dear.

If you are trying to lose weight, get rid of the cream. High fat, high saturated fat.

The "tickles" may be from the weight loss pill.

I hope this helps. Kathryn Shattler, MS,RDN
