What Causes Tight Throat, Breathlessness, Blurred Vision And Burning Tongue?

my 26 year old son has tightness in his throat(suprasternal notch). feels like he cant breath. no anxiety, they found a rather large syrinx that goes from c4 thru his thoracic. nuero hasnt been much help. his tongue feels like its burning at times and his eye sight gets blurry.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have tight throat, breathlessness, blurred vision and burning tongue. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query viral pharyngitis , tonsillitis , epiglottitis , GERD or strep throat. I would suggest you to eat light and non spicy , eat at least one hour before going to bed , take antacid after every meal and keep your head elevated while sleeping . Consult gastroenterologist for proper examination . Doctor may prescribe H 2 blockers or proton pump inhibitor . Doctor may also refer you to ENT specialist for other problem .
