Hello,

Any type of chest symptoms cannot be taken as granted, whatever the condition you are having if it is the chest symptoms be it tightening, chest pain, burning, discomfort needs to be ruled out for cardiac disease and it is most advisable to see the doctor not because you are having flu symptoms but it is chest tightening you are having and it can not neglect. No need to treat the flu-like symptoms unless it is severe and disturbing, if you are immuno-compromised, then you need to be very much careful even if it is the flu-like symptoms, in either of these conditions you can see the doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Akhtarhusain
