Hallow Dear,

I have carefully read your query and will try to advise you.

You are just 13 years of age. You mention that you have started your periods from 30 January 2010. Are you sure? In 2010 you were just 8 years young.

From your history it appears that you had menses for few months only.

My dear, in the initial few months to a couple of years, the menstrual cycle is irregular due to irregular or low ripening of eggs. In fact, up to first 2 years, the eggs may not be released. Due to this the hormonal levels are not sustained and thus the menstruation may be irregular. At times, the period between the two cycles may be prolonged up to 6 months also.

You need for worry for the irregularity of your menstrual cycles for first two years or may be till you are 16 years young. If even after that your menstruation does not regularize, then you may have to report to the Gynaecologist when you may be put of hormonal (Oestrogen + Progesterone) tablets for few months which can regularize your cycles.

The medicines that you are put on; i.e. Fertobex, Syrup M2 tone are vitamin preparations and tonics. They will have no effect on the regularity of menses.

If the pain you have is during first 14 hours of the menses, it is normal. In fact it indicates that your eggs have started forming. If the pain is intolerable, you may take some pain killers like paracetamol or Tylenol which may give you some relief. If these medicines do not give any relief, then you have to report to the GYNAECOLOGIST.

If the pain is before the start of menses and is relieved after the menses start, then it indicates some congestion in the pelvis. In that case, you will have to report to the Gynaecologist. However, the later possibility in your case is most unlikely.

I hope you have got very important information about menstruation.
