Hello,

As post-injury, this kind of sensation is normal due to somatosensory disturbance. With icing and simple exercises for the knee, you should be fine.

In case you had a fall over the back then there will be nerve entrapment anywhere in its course and needs a precise history and examination. Post which with exercises like - core stability, spinal muscle strengthening exercises, hip muscle strengthening exercises, static hamstring, static Quadriceps, straight leg raise and ankle toe movements you should get good results.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
