What Causes Tingling Feeling On Leg After Devloping A Hematoma?

I rapidly developed a large hematoma, dx w/xray and doctor yesterday, and have had it elevated and iced since yesterday afternoon. It is on my leg, a bit down from my knee. I ve had a stinging feeling the last few hours and only when I get up on it to fix lunch or go the bathroom, etc. What is causing that stinging feeling? Thanks, Julia

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
The stinginging may be due to pressure exerted by swelling on the nerves in periosteum(bone covering that houses bone nerves). it will subside by rest, anti-inflammatory medicines and fomentations in few days.Do not massage the area and do miniml walking.
