What Causes Tingling In Arms And Legs, Back Pain And Memory Loss?

On 8/5/14 I went to the hospital because I had tingling on my right arm and my right leg but mostly because of excruciating pain on my right lower back. By the time I was leaving the hospital I could not walk. I had to use a wheel chair just to get to the taxi. I also noticed that I ve been having memory loss and forgetting things. I am 51 years old, female, Diabetes, High Cholesterol and I way 140lbs and I m 4 10 . What is wrong with me?

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for your query.
Tingling in arms and legs could be due to nerve compression in your spine. It could be due to deficiency of vitamin b12.
Get MRI of cervical and lumbar spine done for nerve compression. Get your vitamin b12 level checked out.
I suggest you to consult neurologist for dementia and proper management of your symptoms.
Hope this helps you. Let me know if you have any more concern.
