What Causes Tingling Sensation And Numbness In The Legs After A Tailbone Fracture?

I broke my tailbone 2 1/2 months ago. Occasionally I experience the most uncomfortable feelings in my legs from the pelvic area all the way down to the feet. Feelings such as tingling, cramping, numbness, and tightness. What could be the cause of this and is it something I should be concerned about?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It might be due to minor nerve injury caused by fractured segments. Consult an orthopaedic and plan for an MRI scan.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
