What Causes Tingling Sensation In The Groin Area?

For The past month I have had a transitory tingling pain in my right groin. While showering today I noticed some swelling just above and to the right of my penis. My appendix has not been removed. I am 91 years old, In quite good health for that age. I am 5 ft 9 in, 150 lbs and have lived an active life style. Any suggestions?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I have noted your symptoms. These are not of concern. The most likely cause of tingling could be a pinched nerve in the groin. It would get better on own in a few days to weeks.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
