What Causes Tingling Sensation On The Lips And Tongue While On Amoxicillin?

Am I allergic to Amoxicillian or not? I don t want to be limited in the antibiotics I can be prescribed. It gave me tingling lips/tongue as well as itchy skin and eyes but I was able to take a 7 day oral dose without the need of medical help - I just took Benadryl.
