What Causes Tobacco Smell After Taking Losartan For Blood Pressure?

I recently started taking losartan for blood pressure control. Since that time every so often I can smell tobacoo, it smells like an open pack of cigerettes when there are not any around. I have never smoked and actually hate the smell and the smell of burning tobacoo. Is there any correlation to Losartan?

NO frankly speaking there is no such co-relation of the losarton with the smoke of the tobacco.
That might be your perseptual feeling of having smell like tobacco.
It is advisable that you should not have change in the dosing schedule of the losartan (as it is antihypertensive drug) for the reason of this smell.
My opinion is that you shuold search for other cause which may give rise to such smell or else there may somother smoker in the visinity of you which may be responsible for the smell.

If all the chances of smell are rouled out it is better to have a psychological consultation as many times the reason might be psychological such as delusion of smell.
