What Causes Trouble While Swallowing?

My dad had radiation treatment last winter and it messed up his esphogus. He has had great trouble swallowing. He has had something painfully stuck there since dinner. Is there a quick fix or should I take him to emergency? He keeps fighting the latter.

Symptoms may be related with side effect of radiation therapy .
you should consult a gastroenterologyst.
I dont think he needs to go to ER.
