What Causes Ulcerative Colitis?

hi
i am suffering from ulcerative colitis. I have already taken homeopathic and ayurvedic treatments but initially the medicines have shown good results but afterwards there effects decreased and the problem still persists. Can u please suggest me good medicines and what kind of precautions i should take in order to completely get rid of this disease.

Dear in the allopathy depending upon severity treatment given, in mild to moderate cases managed with medically if serious cases managed with surgically.

Mild cases treated with sulfasalizine, mesalazine used. Once remission accure you have to maintain once daily dose adviced. You can use steroids.

Acute severe cases requir steroids for management. Cyclosporin, adalimumab, golimumab also effective.

Indications for surgery in patients with ulcerative colitis include (1) toxic megacolon refractory to medical management, (2) fulminant attack refractory to medical management, and (3) uncontrolled colonic bleeding.

Indications for elective surgery in ulcerative colitis include (1) long-term steroid dependence, (2) dysplasia or adenocarcinoma found on screening biopsy, (3) and disease present for 7-10 years.

Please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
