What Causes Uncomfortable Feeling At The Back Of The Throat?
While mowing the yard, I ran over a pice of wood and a very small wood splinter was tossed in the air and i swallowed it. I now have an uncomfortable feeling in the back of my throat and it feels like the splinter either scratched the throat or is embedded. Do i need to go to the emergency room or can I wait and see what happens?
The symptoms of uncomfortable feeling in the throat indicate inflammation of the throat in the form of chronic pharyngitis or laryngitis. This requires treatment by the use of antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs. Use of decongestant drugs and salt water gargling provide symptomatic relief. You need to consult your ENT doctor for examination and treatment.
