What Causes Urinary Infection After PCNL And DJ Stenting?

hi doc,i am 25 years male,56 kg and 5"8... i gone through PCNL sugery for stone removal...surgeon put DJ stent 3 weeks ago....now i am getiing pain during urine passing...along with blood in urine..
my urine report says detection of UTI infection and there is detection of albumin (++++),RBC,PUS cells 3 to A
i went through urione culture whicdh says i m resistyant to
norfloaxacin so shifted to ciprofloxacin but the urine results remains same....what should id do...for the removal of DJ stent... is this stent causing infection..?

* There are various causes of urinary infection after PCNL
- DJ stent working as foreign body , giving more chances as nidus of
infection via bacteria loading over it .
- Inadequate fluid intake
- Resistant bacteria as in your case .

* Usually it is around 3 - 4 weeks period by which we recommend
DJ stent removal after PCNL , so it is the right time to discuss
with your doctor for the same .
