What Causes Urination With Back Pain?

My sister is 40 never had sex, never had a boyfriend, recently she has had been in pain mostly in her back and frequent urination, she has had just about every test known to man and the only one thing they found was a slight thickening of the endometrium. She is now being referred to a urologist and fears they may never find out what is ailing her.

Hi,
Thanks for asking.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. Urination with back pain in females could be of two causes, either urinary tract infection or pelvic infection (genital tract)
2. Will require a pap smear and urine examination along with ultrasound abdomen
3. Endometrial thickening alone usually does not cause backpain, unless the uterus is pulling the ligaments surrounding it. Hysterectomy maybe necessary if its the cause.
4. More clinical details along with laboratory reports necessary for further opinion.
Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
