What Causes Vaginal Bleeding, Abdomen Pains, Nausea Due To A Leftover Tampon?

Hello, I am a young 18 year old female currently taking the contraceptive pill. I began to come on my period yesterday morning for my weeks break, which is regular. But I put my tampon in at 10am and forgot about it until 8pm. When I took it out it had black like blood on it and ever since I ve tried putting a different tampon in it has caused very bad discomfort and also lower abdomen pains. I have felt very nauseas too, should I consult further help?

Hello,

Sometimes due to long-standing tampoon blood changes color and becomes black color, due to blood tampoon expand and causes stretching effect on the cervix, that may cause pain and nausea.
