Hello,
Thanks for sharing your health concern with us. I have gone through your query and would like to offer some information. Abnormal menstrual pattern can occur due to several reasons. In your case, the most likely cause seems to be stress. Apart from this, sudden weight changes, infections, cysts of the ovary, use of certain medications etc., also can cause hormone imbalances and lead to abnormal menstrual pattern. Please get a proper appraisal of the situation by an expert and plan further management. Avoid stress and drinking or smoking as it can lead to further disturbances. Hope this helps.
