What Causes Vaginal Bleeding While Taking Contraceptive Pill?

Dear doctor, im 19 years old.my last menstruation is september 13.i take a contraceptive pill on my 2nd day of mens and now im on 5days of taking it.my problem is i have spotting/bleed on my 5th day of taking pill.im scared and i dont know what im going to do.should i stop now taking this pill?why i bleed during taking this pill.? please help me..

Hello there,
I understand your concern but there is nothing to worry. You started bleeding before starting the pill. So as you continue taking the pill gradually hormones in your body will go up. The bleeding wont stop all of a sudden. Some bleeding and spotting till 5th to 6th day is normal and not something that warrants stopping th pill. So dont worry and continue taking the pill like you do. After 21 days you need to stop the pill for 1 week during which you will start bleeding again and may continue for a day or two even after starting the pill.
