hi, my wife and I had sex around 13 days ago for the first time she was a virgin. We didn't use any condoms and didn't want a child either so my wife took a morning after pill. My wife told me last night that her vagina has been itching there is no discharge. And ever since than she has been very dry.
Hello, Vaginal itch is usually due to some vaginitis, be it allergic, bacterial or fungal. Since there is no discharge, a vaginal swab is helpful to know if there is any infection. The pill does not cause such symptoms. It is consequent to intercourse. The pill can cause breakthrough bleeding and a delayed period. Protection is very high when the pill is taken within the stipulated time. Please see a gynecologist for a complete clinical evaluation. Please use a regular contraception and restrict the use of emergency contraceptive pills to only once or twice a year. Hope this helps.
