Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern. Spotting after an intercourse can happen with rough intercourse most of the times. The trauma during the intercourse, especially during the perimenopause and menopause, when the protective lining mucosa is thinned out, causes the bleeding/spotting. Yet, routine local and systemic exam is needed around your age. Since you have a history of dysplasia, I would recommend an evaluation as soon as possible. Pap smear and swabs from the vagina and cervix should be done to localize the cause. Infections of the vagina and cervix, erosions of the cervix and polyps may cause such spotting. Hope you find this information useful. Wish you good health.
