What Causes Vomiting After A Tonsillectomy?

My son is 13 and had his tonsils and adenoids removed on 1/20/17. Two weeks after that (2/3/17) he got a stomach flu and was throwing up. A week after that (2/10/17) he had cough and headache. He is still complaining of headache, stomach ache and being very tired. He has no appetite. Is this all related to the tonsillectomy or is this something different?

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Dear vomiting after tonsillectomy may be due to Initially, the drugs from general anesthesia are to blame for the woozy feelings and upset stomach post tonsillectomy. Most patients are prescribed narcotic medicines for pain management during their recovery. These medicines can also cause feelings of nausea. Also check for other systemic causes for vomiting.
Take soft diet, avoid spicy food and alcohol avoid smoking and caffeine drinks
