What Causes Vomiting After Eating Salt?

I wanted to know if you can have an allergy to high consumtions of salt, lately I`ve been vomiting after eating salt approx. 11/2 hrs. later. Last night my husband had woke me up because I was choking on my own vomit and he had to turn me over, thank God he was awake. Obviously, I will not be eating that much again but, I want to know if it could have been an allergy.
