What Causes Vomiting And Abdominal Pain?

My 72 year old boyfriend was vomiting bile last night and has severe abdominal pain. He does not have fever or chills. The stomach pain has been happening frequently but usually within a few hours goes away. Last evening he was doubled over in pain. The pain has not been as intense today but there is still discomfort in lower abdomen. He is unable to eat. Thank you for your help.

Hello,

Thanks for your query on HCM

"As"per your clinical history is concerned please follow like this -

1)Do a clinical examination by your [gastroenterologist]and do few tests like [endoscopic ultrasound and pancreatic enzymes]to confirm exact diagnosis.

2)Do take admission in your nearest hospital for IV drip to prevent dehydration and to stabilize your condition.

3)Discuss permanent treatment with your treating Doctor as per ultrasound report.

Do take few preventive steps like this -

1)Try to stop drinking alcohol and stop smoking.

2)Choose a low-fat diet. Choose a diet that limits fat and emphasizes fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, and lean protein.

3)Drink more fluid throughout the day. It may help to keep a water bottle or glass of water with you.

Hope that helps
