What Causes Vomiting And Purple Dots On Forehead/around Eyes/chin?
My 10 year old was vomiting from a flu bug and on Friday so hard afterward she got red purple looking dots like freckles on forehead around eyes and chin she still has it and says her check feel sore they look red is this capillaries broken from the vomiting?
I appreciate your concern. The symptoms given for the child could be due to viral infection severity of the symptoms matters the great in this age group because the clinical picture goes on changing very rapidly, vomiting, fever may cause the dehydration so in my opinion better to see the pediatrician, till then Tab Domperidone can be given for vomiting, if the vomiting is continued then injectable anti-emetic can be given, with IV infusion.
Hope this information helps. Let em know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Akhtarhusain Shaikh
