What Causes Vomiting And Swollen Stomach In Infant?

9 month baby - projectile vomiting and swollen belly Hi, my 9 months old boy has been vomiting every other day for 6 days now and he seems to still have a swollen belly after he s vomited a lot. Would you have any suggestions as to what the problem might be? Thank you

HI...by what you quote I feel that it could be a -

1. Gastric outlet obstruction
2. Sub-clinical intestinal obstruction
3. Idiopathic hypertrophic pyloric stenosis (though unlikely due to age)

I suggest you get a pediatric surgical consult regarding this.
