What Causes Vomiting Despite Taking Metronidazole?

Hello. I went to a doctor on Monday because for the past couple of months, I ve been having diarrhea (especially after eating at fast food restaurants), severe pain in my stomach, intense nausea, and frequent vomiting. He gave me an antibiotic called Metronidazole (500 mg 3 times a day), and Dicyclomine (to relax the bowels 4 times a day). Ever since, my symptoms have worsened. I can t quit throwing up, and now am throwing up bile. He told me to wait until Monday since the antibiotic he can give me is known to do that. My question is, do you have any advice on what it could be? Or if I should even wait until Monday? I m pretty miserable at this point.

Your query being appreciated, if this is the gastritis due to some infection then it may take some time and you have to be patience, if the condition remains as it is then differential diagnosis needs to be taken into consideration like biliary disease, renal disease, hepatic pathology, intestinal pathologies, that's all needed some investigations but it seems to be very less likely in your case, hope this information helps.
