What Causes Vomiting, Diarrhea And Burning Sensation While Urinating?

Hello, last night my husband and I ate the same food for breakfast lunch and dinner. The only difference was that he drank rose wine (the cork fall into the bottle), and after dinner he ate icecream. I am fine but he was not. He was sick from midnight until about 6am with severe vomiting and diarrhoea. He has a pounding headache and I have given him electrolytes and lots of water. The vomiting/diarrhoea has stopped but he has the headache, aches and pains throughout his body and burning sensation when he urinates. Is it food poisoning or something else? I m very worried!

Hello
I share your concern
This could be food poisoning, acute gastroenteritis or UTI.

If I were his treating doctor, after physical examination, looking for signs of dehydration and recording of blood pressure I would have advised him for battery of tests like urine for routine testing and urine culture as well as stool test to establish a diagnosis

He may require a course of antibiotics depending upon the reports

Meanwhile ask him to have plenty of fluids ORS AND fruit juices to counter dehydration and electrolytic imbalances.
He take ibuprofen and anti allergic like levocetirizine for headache and burning sensation.

Hope this answers your query
Please feel free to ask for follow up question I will be happy to help you
Best wishes
