Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had a gastric sleeve 3/17 and have lost 108 lbs. Five times since 11/17 while having a big bowel movement I also uncontrollably vomited. I am not sick at all and do not have the flue. Quite the opposite. I have become much more healthy. What would cause this? Should I be concerned?
Your symptoms seem to be related to food poisoning. Some advices that I can give to you are : - Avoid food for the first few hours as your stomach settles down. -Drink water, broth, or an electrolyte solution, which will replace the minerals that you lose with vomiting and diarrhea. - Eat when you feel ready, but start with small amounts of bland, nonfatty foods such as toast, rice, and crackers - Get plenty of rest.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi
