Hi,
Welcome to health care magic,

If there is dark blood with vomiting then it might be due to stomach ulcer or if there is blood with coughing then it might be indicative of chest pathology.

However, it must be evaluated further by complete medical history, thoroughly clinical examination and various investigations.

You may need chest X-ray and upper GI endoscopy to rule out stomach or chest pathology but for all this your father must go to ER and get hospitalized.

Symptommatic treatment like pantoprazole and tranexamic acid to block the bleeding can be taken but first thing it should be diagnosed immediately.

Consult gastroenterologist for further advice.
