What Causes Vomiting With Pale Stools In A Child?
My 16 month old son had 2 episodes of vomitting, 24 hours apart 2 days in a row (Thurs 3:00am and Friday 3:30am). After that, he has been experiencing very liquidy, pale stools. He had approx 8 dirty diapers today, all light yello, to white and very creamy. I am a little concerned. As I am laying here with him at 2:42 am Monday, I think back to the last couple of days and he has been fussy and has not had a real good appetite. He is afebrile and belly is soft. His bowel sounds are loud enougth to hear without a stethascope. When he started crying this am, he had the look of concern, which is what he had the other two nights when he vomitted. I may just being goofy, but now I can t sleep, I can only look at him and hope I am not missing something.

It sure is a scary feeling and I understand.
Your baby seems like has got acute gastro enteritis...possibly some food poisoning to keep it simple. May be some food given to him is troubling him. If I were your doctor, I would have given just symptomatic treatment like anti emetic, zinc syp etc and advice for good oral hydration. Look for blood in stools, evidence of lethargy, poor oral intake, decreased urine etc..all these are warning signs which should make you rush to hospital else be patient and support him with good nutrition and hydration, he will recover in 5-7 days. Take care.
