Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 3 year old daughter vomit once today & was acting fine. I thought at first it was because she had ate & was running around until she started having watery diarrhea. In my mind I jus figured that she s getting dehydrated because is summer. I been giving her Gatorade & water. This is the 3rd time she has a watery bowel movement but is green & with mucus in it. She s has a mild fever. I wanted to know what s is wrong & if that is normal for her age & if I should give her anything else.
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history of your daughter having one vomit, watery stools with green color and mucus and mild fever. This is indicative of gastroenteritis and I would advise you the following: Send the sample of stool for lab . Take her to the Pediatrician. And she needs an antibiotic and probiotics. Maintain the hydration properly. If the vomiting is persistent she needs to be hospitalized for intravenous fluids and antibiotics.
