Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi. My 6 week old son is bottlefed on Aptamil. I am currently weening him onto the formula as he has been on the cartons due to constipation at 1 week old. He has been fine until today. He has had some very watery stools, same in colour as normal and still some pip like bits but literally water coming out. He has literally slept all day and even when I change his nappy does not wake fully. This is certainly out of character for him. I have made an appointment to see my Dr at 17.20, but just wondered if you could help at all before I get there! First time mother so am worried with any changes! Many Thanks Nicola
6weeks old with watery stools is probably due to some infection. Make sure you boil your milk bottle every time you give your baby top feed. Baby takes time to digest the new milk given to him. If the problem persists longer try changing the milk powder.
