What Causes Weakness And Nausea During Pregnancy?

my wife she is 32 year old,5'2",weight 76kg she is carrying baby now its 23 weeks running. For last few weeks she is start to having temperature and some other problems like weakness, nous sea,sudden sweating then her consultant has given test for T3 ,T4 and TSH the result came TSH is higher then normal.doctor prescribed her LEVOTHYROXINE SODIUM USP 50mcg half tablet each day before breakfast.my wife start to take the half tablet for last 4 days.But there is no sign of improvement instead her conditions are deteriorating ,unfortunately her consultant has gone to abroad so would you please advice us what should we do,and why still the symptoms of hyperthyroidism is not going of? pls help us

Hello dear,I understand your concern.In my opinion the weakness,sweating might be due to anaemia or insufficient intake of food.I suggest you to get HB done to rule out anaemia.Food to be taken every 2 hourly in small quantities including snacks.Its good that hypothyroidism is detected.thyroid medicine will not give immediate results unless the TSH gets normal.So TSH is to be repeated after 2 weeks to know if the dose is adequate or any need to be changed.
